Project overview
St James Sutton is an architect-designed residential development comprising an executive studio together with spacious one and two-bedroom apartments. The scheme was delivered under a traditional JCT contract with a client-supplied bill of quantities.
Pace Construction joined the project after significant problems had arisen during earlier stages of the build. Two previous contractors had been appointed and subsequently removed following issues with defective brickwork. Pace was recommended to the developer to recover the scheme, rectify the existing construction defects and move the project through to successful completion.
Following appointment, Pace corrected the defective works, progressed the remaining construction and completed the development in less than a year.
